Mischa Anne Marsden Barton\u00a0(born 24 January 1986)\u00a0is a British-American film, television, and stage actress. She began her career onstage, appearing in\u00a0Tony Kushner’s\u00a0Slavs!\u00a0and took the lead in\u00a0James Lapine’s\u00a0Twelve Dreams\u00a0at\u00a0New York City’s\u00a0Lincoln Center. She made her screen debut with a guest appearance on the American soap opera\u00a0All My Children\u00a0(1995) and voicing Betty Ann Bongo on the\u00a0Nickelodeon\u00a0cartoon series\u00a0KaBlam!\u00a0(1996\u201397). Her first significant film role was as the protagonist of\u00a0Lawn Dogs\u00a0(1997), a drama co-starring\u00a0Sam Rockwell. She appeared in major pictures such as the romantic comedy\u00a0Notting Hill\u00a0(1999) and\u00a0M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller\u00a0The Sixth Sense\u00a0(1999).
