Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft\u00a0(born April 3, 1991) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and author. As a child model and actress, she appeared in a variety of films, including\u00a0Lemonade Mouth\u00a0(2011),\u00a0Jem and the Holograms\u00a0(2015),\u00a0Insidious: Chapter 3\u00a0(2015), and\u00a0XOXO\u00a0(2016). Alongside her film roles, she also had recurring roles in the TV series \u00a0Wizards of Waverly Place\u00a0(2010) and\u00a0The Fosters\u00a0(2014), as well as lead roles on\u00a0CSI: Cyber (2015\u20132016) and\u00a0Five Points\u00a0(2018\u20132019).<\/p>\n
Kiyoko issued three solo extended plays:\u00a0A Belle to Remember\u00a0(2013),\u00a0This Side of Paradise(2015), which includes the single “Girls Like Girls”, and\u00a0Citrine\u00a0(2016). Following the singles “Sleepover”, “Feelings”, and “Curious”, she released her debut studio album, Expectations (2018), which reached the top 20 of the charts in the\u00a0United States,\u00a0Canada, and\u00a0Australia. She has since released a fourth extended play,\u00a0I’m Too Sensitive for This Shit\u00a0(2020) and her second studio album\u00a0Panorama\u00a0(2022).<\/p>\n
In 2023, Kiyoko released her debut novel,\u00a0Girls Like Girls,\u00a0published by Wednesday Books. The book debuted at number one on the\u00a0New York Times\u00a0Best Sellers list for Young Adult Hardcover\u00a0and won the Goldie Award\u00a0for Young Adult Fiction by the\u00a0Golden Crown Literary Society. She has also created a comic book, with the help of Naomi Franquiz and Marla Vazquez, based on her song “Gravel to Tempo”.<\/p>\n
