David Stephen Caruso\u00a0(born January 7, 1956)\u00a0is a retired American actor and producer, best known for his roles as\u00a0Detective John Kelly\u00a0on the\u00a0ABC\u00a0crime drama NYPD Blue\u00a0(1993\u20131994) and\u00a0Lieutenant\u00a0Horatio Caine\u00a0on the\u00a0CBS\u00a0series\u00a0CSI: Miami (2002\u20132012). He appeared in the feature films\u00a0An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), First Blood\u00a0(1982, the first film in the\u00a0Rambo\u00a0franchise), Twins\u00a0(1988),\u00a0King of New York\u00a0(1990),\u00a0Kiss of Death\u00a0(1995), and\u00a0Proof of Life\u00a0(2000).<\/p>\n
After\u00a0CSI: Miami, he quietly retired from acting and became involved in the art business. He is also co-owner of Steam on Sunset, a clothing store in South Miami.<\/p>\n
He was married to his first wife Cheri Maugans from 1979 until they divorced in 1984. He was married to his second wife\u00a0actress Rachel Ticotin\u00a0from 1984 to 1987, with whom he has a daughter, Greta.
